Another great achievement achieved by the UAE in 2021

The Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Center launched a mural in the form of a huge map showing the development of the non-oil foreign trade of the UAE during 50 years, which shows the rise of the country's foreign trade from 1.14 billion dirhams in 1971 to exceed 1.4 trillion dirhams in 2020.

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the UAE witnessed a significant growth in the volume of foreign non-oil trade during the first nine months of 2021 by 26.5% to exceed 1.28 trillion dirhams, which represents a leap in growth compared to the rest of the countries in the region and the world.

These numbers reflect the vision of the leaders of the UAE and their wise planning to challenge the difficulties and build the future, and the UAE's distinguished position on the world trade map, as the country exchanges trade with 239 global markets.

The UAE also leads the world in many indicators related to trade, so it ranked first in the world in the indicator of the growth of exports of commercial services, and the indicator of trade balance (percentage of GDP), according to the report of the Global Competitiveness Yearbook 2021, issued by the International Institute For administrative development IMD, as well as being at the fore regionally in many indicators of global competitiveness related to trade.
