The UAE Ministry of the Interior wins first place in the Prince Nayef Prize for Security Research


 

The Research and Development Center at the Ministry of Interior won first place in the Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz Prize for Security Research, for a research entitled “Future cyber challenges facing the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and ways to confront them.”

The research dealt with the axes of indicative research in the concept of cybersecurity, its importance, characteristics, dimensions and developments, the future cyber challenges facing the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, and the strategy to reduce them.

The award was received by Lieutenant-Colonel Dr. Omar Rashid Saeed Al Shehhi, Director of the Research and Development Center at the Ministry of Interior, in the presence of Lieutenant-General H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Interior in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who honored the winners.
