The National Festival for Tolerance and Coexistence at Expo 2020 Dubai

Today, the UAE has become the capital of humanity, a state of tolerance, peace and acceptance of the other, but this was not new. Since the founding of the great Emirates, our leaders had a plan and original wise principles, which are those lofty values, disseminated and worked with them, and they remained with us, inherited today and will be passed on to future generations.

Today, when a person looks at the UAE, he will find many different nationalities. Everyone lives together with the same laws, values ​​and principles. There is no distinction between an Emirati or any other nationality.

From that point of view, the achievement that the Emirati society has reached, the UAE is spreading these values ​​globally and proclaiming them in all international forums, and there is no opportunity or event in a world greater than Expo 2020 to launch the National Festival for Tolerance and Coexistence, in which more than 192 international pavilions and more than 125 prominent international personalities will participate, to present a comprehensive and diverse vision of the future of global tolerance. About 4,000 school and university students participate in the festival’s programs, through 140 local, international, and student events. This year, the festival focuses on youth, religions, women and universities issues.

World Expo is a large international exhibition designed to showcase achievements of nations. These exhibitions vary in character and are held in different parts of the world at a specific site for a period of time, ranging usually from three to six months. UAE, Dubai, won the organization of the exhibition in 2013, after Dubai outperformed Sao Paulo in Brazil, Yekaterinburg, Russia, and Izmir, Turkey, as it obtained the support of 116 of the 164 voting members of the Bureau in a final run-off against Yekaterinburg.
