Uganda in Expo2020 Dubai

 Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa. It is bordered to the east by Kenya, to the north by South Sudan, to the west by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to the south-west by Rwanda, and to the south by Tanzania

Independence Day in Uganda is a state holiday celebrated on October 9 every year. It celebrates Uganda’s independence from the United Kingdom in 1962. 




Yesterday, Uganda celebrated its National Day at Expo 2020 Dubai with a flag-raising ceremony at the stage of nations in Al Wasl Plaza.

And in the presence of the Ugandan President at the ceremony, traditional dances and Ugandan artworks were displayed

World Expo is a large international exhibition designed to showcase achievements of nations. These exhibitions vary in character and are held in different parts of the world at a specific site for a period of time, ranging usually from three to six months. UAE, Dubai, won the organization of the exhibition in 2013, after Dubai outperformed Sao Paulo in Brazil, Yekaterinburg, Russia, and Izmir, Turkey, as it obtained the support of 116 of the 164 voting members of the Bureau in a final run-off against Yekaterinburg. UAE  has chosen the slogan "Connecting Minds .. Creating the Future" as the title of the campaign to host the "International Expo 2020" in Dubai.
