Bill Gates praises His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and his role in eradicating polio

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed has many dreams and ambitions towards a better future full of tolerance, coexistence and peace, free from epidemics, diseases and suffering, including polio, this dreaded disease that afflicts innocent children and causes them suffering and pain psychologically and physically.

Therefore, His Excellency launched an initiative to eradicate polio in the world. Since 2011, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed has provided $250 million, as a contribution to humanitarian and charitable efforts to provide vaccines and finance polio vaccination campaigns, especially in the countries targeted by the initiative, namely Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The United Arab Emirates provided more than 583 million doses of polio over the past 8 years in Pakistan, benefiting more than 102 million children there, which were implemented from 2014 to the end of September 2021. The campaign has succeeded since the beginning of this year In providing 75 million and 148 thousand and 404 doses of vaccination against polio.

This received a lot of encouragement and praise from many public and famous personalities and large countries, the latest of which was Bill Gates' praise on Twitter for the great role of His Highness and the UAE.
