Associated Press News: World Lauds UAE for Becoming First Gulf Country to Commit to Net Zero Emission

 Great efforts and a lot of planning from the UAE to confront climate change and its negative effects on the world, and the result of these efforts came with a very important initiative, which is "Net Zero 2050".


Since His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan announced the initiative and the UAE plan to confront climate change at Expo 2020 in October and the announcement of an investment of 600 million dirhams in clean renewable energy, the UAE has received much praise and encouragement for its wonderful efforts and received a lot of welcome and support. Notable figures such as US President John Kerry's Special Envoy, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Antonio Guterres, United Nations Secretary-General, Alok Sharma, President of the Cop26 Summit and many others.
