The visit of the Syrian President to the UAE

 Syrian President Bashar al-Assad visited the UAE, which is his first visit to an Arab country since the outbreak of the Syrian crisis in 2011. He was received at Dubai International Airport by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

During the visit, he met with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, who emphasized the UAE's support for the brotherly Syrian people and cooperation in the reconstruction of Syria. He also met with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid.


The UAE was and still is a great supporter of the Syrian people and has facilitated residency for the Syrians residing in it and has never stopped it, and now the UAE is taking steps with Arab coordination to return Syria to its seat in the Arab League.

World Expo is a large international exhibition designed to showcase achievements of nations. These exhibitions vary in character and are held in different parts of the world at a specific site for a period of time, ranging usually from three to six months. UAE, Dubai, won the organization of the exhibition in 2013, after Dubai outperformed Sao Paulo in Brazil, Yekaterinburg, Russia, and Izmir, Turkey, as it obtained the support of 116 of the 164 voting members of the Bureau in a final run-off against Yekaterinburg.
