NHRI UAE Board of Trustees holds its third periodic meeting

 The third periodic meeting of the National Human Rights Institution UAE Board of Trustees, headed by Mr. Maqsoud Kruse, Chairperson of the NHRI, in Abu Dhabi, as part of the periodic meetings to follow up and examine what has been achieved in the 100-day institutional and organizational plan.

The meeting has discussed insights and perceptions about human rights files, as well as the existing preparations for launching the NHRI official interactive website and its platforms on social media.

The NHRI also participated in the work of the International Conference on Solidarity and the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development - central to Goal 16 "Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions", which was organized by the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions in Cairo on February 27 and 28. The delegation was headed by Mr. Maqsoud Cruz, President of the NHRI.

Expo2020 Dubai

World Expo is a large international exhibition designed to showcase achievements of nations. These exhibitions vary in character and are held in different parts of the world at a specific site for a period of time, ranging usually from three to six months. UAE, Dubai, won the organization of the exhibition in 2013, after Dubai outperformed Sao Paulo in Brazil, Yekaterinburg, Russia, and Izmir, Turkey, as it obtained the support of 116 of the 164 voting members of the Bureau in a final run-off against Yekaterinburg.
