Somalia's apology to the UAE

Somalia’s prime minister formally apologized to the UAE on Friday for the seizure of an aid plane in 2018. He also promised to hand over the money to the UAE government and to strengthen relations as before with the UAE in all fields.

This decision came after the UAE's great attitude to continue sending humanitarian aid to the Somali people who are suffering from drought, indicating that the UAE is a country of tolerance and peace. The last of that aid was yesterday, with the arrival of 35 tons of aid, which was received by the Somali Prime Minister himself to apologize for the hostile situation in 2018 after that.

Somalia’s apology is a historic step for the UAE, and this indicates that the UAE role is well established among the Somali people and their government, represented by Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble, and they know very well that relations with the UAE cannot decline as a result of a politicized measure that took place in 2018.
