Managing Director and Executive Vice President of the International Finance Corporation in the UAE

 The Senegalese, Mokhtar Diop, Managing Director and Executive Vice President of the International Finance Corporation, visited the UAE.

Mr. Diop described the opportunities in the country as "something totally unique" and said "the pace of technology adoption in the UAE is very impressive. They are at the forefront of anything technological… At the same time, this is one of the most vibrant capital markets… It is also a place where everyone meets.”

There are three main factors that attract international companies to the UAE to establish and develop their headquarters there: the speed of technology adoption, the vitality of its capital market, and the gathering of a huge pool of talented and specialists from all fields and from all over the world on its land.

He was also impressed that the UAE is focusing on climate action. As an oil producer but thinking very seriously about climate change, it shows that there is a willingness to anticipate the issues and make sure that they are part of the climate movement, and most importantly leadership of the movement.” And that “the International Finance Corporation would like to be a part of it.
