Dr Tedros Adhanom, director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO) visited Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Center (ADSCC)


 The Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Center received Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization, and was welcomed by Dr. Yendre Ventura, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Center along with Dr. Fatima Al Kaabi, Director of the Abu Dhabi Bone Marrow Transplant Program, and the center’s leadership team.

The Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Center specializes in developing pioneering technology methods for targeted stem cell therapies that quickly discover, identify and prepare specific cells. The Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Center aims to become the first partner of the World Health Organization in the Middle East, where it discussed during the visit aspects of cooperation between the organization and the center.

The leaders of the World Health Organization commended the center for providing advanced stem cell treatment to patients with it, as more than 13,800 patients have received treatment so far and its contributions in finding a treatment for Covid-19, which is innovative, and its assistance also in the national examination and vaccination program
