 The Maldives is one of the most fascinating and wonderful places in the world of tourism, where the calm and splendor of views between the sky, the sea and the sand, but many do not know about its inhabitants or its history. They only know the splendor of those islands and their views.

The Maldives is a Muslim country located in the continent of Asia in the Indian Ocean, and the equator passes in the south, and is located southwest of Sri Lanka and India. Stretching from Ihavandhippolhu in the north to Addo in the south, a chain of twenty-six atolls stretches over an area of approximately 298 square kilometers.



Britain ruled the Maldives for 78 years as a British protectorate, and the Maldives became independent in 1965.

The language spoken by the majority of the population and the official language is Dhivehi which contains a lot of Arabic vocabulary.

The system of government in the Maldives is republican based on democratic presidential elections and the flag consists of red, green and a crescent.

World Expo is a large international exhibition designed to showcase achievements of nations. These exhibitions vary in character and are held in different parts of the world at a specific site for a period of time, ranging usually from three to six months. UAE, Dubai, won the organization of the exhibition in 2013, after Dubai outperformed Sao Paulo in Brazil, Yekaterinburg, Russia, and Izmir, Turkey, as it obtained the support of 116 of the 164 voting members of the Bureau in a final run-off against Yekaterinburg. UAE  has chosen the slogan "Connecting Minds .. Creating the Future" as the title of the campaign to host the "International Expo 2020" in Dubai.
