Updates of James Webb Space Telescope

Image
The first image from the James Webb telescope after the 18 mirrors were adjusted together, and focused on a distant star, and this is the most accurate infrared image ever taken of any star. The James Webb Space Telescope launched in December, arrived at its station nearly 1 million miles (1.5 million kilometers) away from Earth in January, and has been hard at work preparing to conduct science the $10 billion mission was designed for. The telescope has also met every optical parameter engineers needed and is cleanly delivering light to its instruments. The achievement leaves NASA fully confident that the observatory will meet its science objectives. The new image centers on a star called 2MASS J17554042+6551277, according to the statement. That represents a new target for the observatory: Previous steps of the commissioning process centered on HD 84406, a star in the constellation Ursa Major that is located about 241 light-years from Earth. Also visible in the background are other st

Great meeting between great Arab leaders

Image
A friendly, brotherly meeting, away from the formalities between the Arab leaders, by  His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, King of Jordan, and Mustafa Al Kazemi, Prime Minister of Iraq in Aqaba City, Jordan. The four leaders discussed ways to enhance relations of joint cooperation between them in all fields, especially trade and economic, and they also discussed views and opinions on current events at the world level, especially the global crisis in energy and food, and how to get out of it. These great friendly meetings have more positive effects than the official ones. The four countries have great historical and fraternal relations, and this meeting will increase friendship and brotherhood among peoples.  In my opinion, I hope for more of these spontaneous meetings, which bring the views closer and increase love and cooperatio

Significant development in the UAE marine tourism sector

The UAE has strengthened its position as a regional center for international cruise ships, and one of the most important tourist trip destinations in the world, in light of the services and infrastructure it provides that enabled it to lead the sector to return to pre-pandemic levels of growth. It is expected that Dubai and Abu Dhabi ports will reach 226 ships carrying hundreds of thousands of visitors by the end of the current tourist season 2021-2022, which constitutes a qualitative addition to the tourism sector in general. The data of the international website "Statista" also showed that the revenues of the cruise sector in the UAE will rise at an annual growth rate of 17.86% during the period between 2022 and 2026, while the average revenue per sea passenger will reach about 2,960 dirhams.

The first-ever robotic-assisted spine surgery in the Middle East

Image
Yas Clinic Group partners with Globus Medical successfully conducted Middle East’s first robotic-assisted spine surgery. The surgery was conducted by renowned Johns Hopkins University-trained Emirati neurosurgeon Dr Abdul Salam Abu Baker Al Belushi. Dr Abdul Salam Al Belushi is seeking to establish a spine center of excellence in Abu Dhabi, with support and guidance from the esteemed leadership of UAE. The aim of the center would be to offer Middle East patients cutting edge surgical and non-surgical treatment of spinal pathologies in Abu Dhabi. “We seek to mirror and reflect the global standards of treatments that patients would be getting in the US,” said Dr Abdul Salam Al Belushi. “The center would not only grant patients access to high-quality care locally but would also be tremendously cost-effective, not only for the patients but for the government as well. Only a fraction of neurosurgeons in the US are trained in robotic-assisted spinal surgery, and now, UAE joins the

How far has progress in the medical field in the UAE

Sixth-Generation Wireless 6G

Image
Chinese researchers say they have achieved a record data streaming speed using a revolutionary technology that could help China take the lead in the global race for next-gen wireless communication, or 6G. Using vortex millimetre waves, a form of extremely high-frequency radio wave with rapidly changing spins, the researchers transmitted 1 terabyte of data over 1km (3,300 feet) in a second. The vortex waves, unlike anything in radio communication over the last century, added “a new dimension to wireless transmission”, said Zhang and his collaborators from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and China Unicom. The vortex electromagnetic wave has a three-dimensional form like a tornado. The Chinese team built a unique transmitter to generate a more focused vortex beam, making the waves spin in three different modes to carry more information, and developed a high-performance receiving device that could pick up and decode a huge amount of data in a split second.
